DuNord’s mission is to make buying reinsurance more manageable. We collaborate directly with underwriters of select reinsurers to design reinsurance solutions for regional health plans. These same reinsurers are instrumental in providing the necessary resources to help our clients manage their claim costs. We engage in frequent team meetings with our clients to better understand their needs and produce creative and competitive solutions.

The DuNord Advantage

Our standard is to proactively monitor high-priced claims so efforts can be made between our clients, specialty partnerships, and providers to reduce the claims’ cost in advance. This includes bill negotiation, review for inaccuracies, and alternative patient transfers to higher quality or lower cost facilities. Claims are tracked consistently between the cost management team and actuarial to find any potential discrepancies and ensure claims are paid in a timely manner.

HMO REINSURANCE

We place Quota share and XS coverages with risk adjustment features designed to provide our clients with maximum coverage at a reduced net cost.

PARTNERSHIPS

We identify and procure long-term carrier and reinsurer partners for underwriters of employer stop loss and other medical coverages.

SURPLUS REINSURANCE

We work with specialty reinsurers, placing reinsurance to reduce pressure on capital while monitoring changes in regulatory guidelines.

CAPTIVE PROGRAMS

We understand the complicated risk structures of captives and work with some of the top captive managers in the country to assist in feasibility analysis, implementation, and management of captives.

WE ARE WILLING TO COMPETE HEAD-TO-HEAD ON ANY REGIONAL PROGRAM. IF OUR EFFORTS DO NOT WORK OUT, WE DO NOT GET PAID.
